Facebook singles app that i never signed up for?

When i went on my facebook today, it said that i had/amusing an app where you meet single women in your area or something to that affect, although i never used it. The app changes names every time i sign on and it fills my sidebar with requests.
My question is: Is there any way to get rid of this, and does it show on my profile, im only 16 and i find it pretty inappropriate?
